Parting Shot

This large format sign from a Tokyo train station exemplifies the need for high-resolution raster art. The sign was nearly a billboard -- I forget how tall, but it was about four feet wide -- and used a combination of both raster and vector art.

Click on the image to see a larger version. Right away, you'll recognize the jagginess of a low-resolution raster image and see the superior smoothness of the vectors.

The semester went by much too quickly, but I hope you enjoyed the course as much as I did. Thank you for a great semester. ~HH
